Took the weekend off then worked this guy out of the ground. I'm doing one piece a day for Magic the Gathering. At the end of it all, I'm sending the collection to Wizards of the Coast.

Today's piece was the most exciting since I was painting this character earlier this month and finally got to finish him... Again, no name for him yet but he's a white soldier Planeswalker with the ability to duplicate tokens and use them to his advantage... Perfect for proliferating... may consider making him an equipment based character as well... I haven't finished his gauntlets or his weapon yet.

Any thoughts?

Since I did 3 blue pieces in a row I decided to go green and the best way to do that is a forest and a beast. From the moment pen went to paper I knew I wanted to paint a colossus. After playing green so heavily I feel that size is all that matters and aggression isn't needed. When I build my decks I plan on certain cards playing in the back row. This is one of those cards.

I don't know what to name him though.

The other day I realized I spend too much time drawing worrying about perfection, about portfolio. I decided to stop... to draw like a kid again, to draw because I wanted to and loved to. This is the outcome from a week of creative block and seeing myself as the most stressed out that I've ever been.
